I hope you'll stick around and support!

Hi! My name is Chloe, and I'm currently a rising junior in high school. I'm half Filipino and half Chinese, and I am the face behind the Helping Stars Foundation. I hope to help children in the Philippines who are in need by donating 100% of our net proceeds from our DIY parol and jeepney kits to organizations supporting that cause. Feel free to message our Instagram with any questions!

        What is a parol?

        Why choose our parol?

A Filipino parol is a traditional Christmas lantern that plays a big part in Filipino culture when the holidays come around. The term "parol" comes from the Spanish word "farol," meaning lantern or light. These lanterns are usually star-shaped and are made with colorful materials, and decorated with intricate designs.

        Why choose our parol?

Traditional parols are constructed using bamboo frames covered with colored or crepe paper. However, with our kit, you will receive a kid friendly laser-cut wooden star puzzle. Our pre-cut pieces are easier for little hands to put together as opposed to the traditional bamboo sticks.
